When Tweets Go Wrong

Posted in Uncategorized on March 13, 2009 by bbgoodess

Its not just your local congress man who is taking twittering to a whole new level. A juror decides to use Twitter during a court case.

Appeal says juror sent ‘tweets’ during $12.6M case

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – A building materials company and its owner have appealed a $12.6 million verdict against them, alleging that a juror was posting related messages on while hearing the case.

The motion filed Thursday seeking a new trial claims the juror sent eight messages — or “tweets” — to the micro-blogging Web site via his cellular phone. One read in part: “oh and nobody buy Stoam. Its bad mojo and they’ll probably cease to Exist, now that their wallet is 12m lighter.”

Another describing what “Juror Jonathan” did today, read: “I just gave away TWELVE MILLION DOLLARS of somebody else’s money.”

The motion filed by the lawyer for Russell Wright and his company, Stoam Holdings, alleges the juror researched the case and communicated with others outside the jury. Wright did not appear in court when the case was heard in Washington County in late February.

The jury awarded the money to Mark Deihl and William Nystrom, who invested in Wright’s company. The company claimed its building material, Stoam, combines the insulation qualities of foam with the strength of steel.

“It was nothing more than a Ponzi scheme,” said Deihl’s attorney, Greg Brown. “(Bernie) Madoff is a very comparable case.”

A new message posted Friday by a Johnathan Powell of Fayetteville read: “Well, I’m off to see a judge. Hope they don’t lock me under the jail, and forget about me for four days.”

Powell did not respond to messages for comment. A clerk for the judge said no hearings were scheduled over the matter Friday.

Random Thought: Gotta Love Michael Vincent

Posted in For Real I Was Being Sarcastic, I am Just Rambling, Uncategorized on March 11, 2009 by bbgoodess

I have come to the conclusion that Michael Vincent is a really generous guy because almost everyday (for almost a year now) he sends me an email stating he found me a job.  Even though I am employed, I do appreciate his efforts. I even looked him up in the Internet and it seems that I am not the only one who has been touched by dear dear Micheal. With America’s current economy/job market one can only be fortunate that someone like him is looking out for your best interests but what makes a person take on the task to find some you don’t know a job?

For quite sometime I have come up with some ideas and thoughts about Mr. Vincent.  Is he a multi-millionare tired of spending all that money he got from British/Nigerian/UK lottery and wants to help others? Maybe his time working with President Clinton  trying to get rid of the IRS left him unfulfilled. I decided to email him back to ask but I think his email service is overlaoded with emails  because my emails are promptly returned.  Gee golly I only can imagine all the emails he thanking him for looking out for his fellow man/woman. That is probably why he sends his emails from different email address.

Still I feel compelled to really thank Mr. Viencent for his efforts. Once I resolve my problems with CitI-bank I think I will send Mr. Vincent  a card or some flowers.

Dr. Phil, NBC and all Media Outlets.. I am about to Pimp My Uterus Out. Can you Help Me?

Dear Dr. Phil

After careful consideration and analysis of the coverage of the Suleman Octoplets, I have determined that I want to pimp my uterus out to best in-vitro fertilization clinic looking to make history.  When I first heard about Suleman, like many people I was infuriated with her decision to bring 8 children into this world (in addition to the 6 she already has) without means to take care of them. Thus, after seeing the large donations to support her hustle deep thought, I figure we aren’t so different. Actually we have a lot in common. Just like Suleman, I desire to have a family. My childhood left me with a void; a desire to raise my own large tribe family. I smile at the thought of receiving all the cash love and attention from the media each one of those little darlings I bring into this world.

Now I do have traits that might make me more likable to the world. Unlike her, I am employed, in a relationship, do not live with my parents. My boyfriend will be more than a sperm donor and is also willing to tell his story.  If offered,  I am more than willing to accept 24 hour care from any sucker kind person for my little darlings. I am willing to be on public assistance to put my wonderful children through college but with your help I hope that won’t be a choice I would have to make.

I figured 10 kids could be a start.  Before my own common sense used to overpower the thoughts common from my womb but the paint huffing has silenced my silly rational. With your help I can find a clinic who strive to take on the wonderful task of planting the little balls of sunshine in my loving womb.  Also I think I will need assistance in buyingto find a place for all my little sweet chickpeas.  I know those houses in California are overpriced and not a good enviroment for rasing children. I would suggest a home in Watertree, SC. I hear that has nice roomy places there, plenty of fresh air and space for all my future bundles of love.

In turn I will come on your shows, smile, act sane and at moments make totally insane comments sound rational.  I even have some ideas for other shows like, “Pimp Your Womb”, “Design on the Goverment’s Dime”,  and my favorite “Going Tribal: In-Vitro Style.”

Dreams to Remember

“I’ve got dreams
Dreams to remember
I’ve got dreams
Dreams to remember”-Otis Redding

When I was younger, this song was one apart of the soulful symphony that could be heard within the walls of my mother’s house. Though this song was about love, infidelity and forgiveness, the chorus funny enough landed in my head after a series of day dreams of ideas that never came to fruition.

I never really got back into volunteering.

Two years ago I set a goal to do some volunteering work and I have done nothing. My main excuse, I don’t want to be stuck to some desk . Its funny when I look at applications for volunteering websites, they put all my skill sets under “clerical” and really that detoures me from even applying.  I know it sounds selfish but dayum, I do that already.  I don’t desire to do clerical work on my personal time.  I desire to teach; not sit in front of a pile of paperwork and a computer screen.

I know most Microsoft Office applications.  When it comes to basic web browsers, I know more than the average user. I still dibble and dabble in most Adobe Products and if given time, I usually can learn the basics of most commonly used Apple and PC products. Printers, faxes, copiers, scanners, if I don’t know it I can learn about it and explain how to use it.  Overall I love technology and would love to show non technical people how they can benefit from it. Heck, if they desire to in front of computer screen all day long, teach them to profit from it.   Shoot I’d love to really be apart of a job training initiative but really I don’t see it happening because the ones I have seen are on a Mon-Fri 9-5 schedule.  Doesn’t anyone want to learn on the weekends for free?? If so I have a dream to tesch anyone who is willing to learn.

I have dreams, dreams to remember…..
